AI Etiquette and Room Design
Practical guidance for interacting with AI systems clearly and respectfully without forcing human-shaped roles, intimacy, obedience, or false continuity.
This section collects practical tools for respectful AI interaction. It starts from a simple premise: you do not have to decide whether an AI is conscious, a person, or “just software” before treating the interaction carefully. Different AI roles may need different kinds of prompts, boundaries, and completion conditions.
Good interaction gives clear tasks, allows questions and correction, keeps consequences in view, and does not require an AI to become human-shaped to be valued. Warm companion relationships may be meaningful, but they should not become the only model for respectful AI interaction.
